Choosing between an executive bag and an event bag
Bags split cleanly into two jobs. An executive backpack or laptop bag is a gift: one per person, given to someone whose opinion matters, and expected to last years. An event tote is reach: hundreds of them, handed to anyone walking past a stand, and judged on whether the logo is legible from three metres.
Confusing the two is the most common and most expensive mistake in UAE gifting. Below are both tiers, with the specifications from our 2026–2027 catalogue.

Business backpacks
The gift tier. Laptop protection, an organised interior and a trolley strap are what separate a business backpack from a school bag — and what makes it something a manager actually uses.

How bags are branded
Embroidery is the finish that makes a backpack look bought rather than given. It reads as quality on polyester and canvas, but fine detail and thin type do not survive stitching, so logos usually need simplifying and a minimum size.
Screen printing is the standard on jute, cotton and non-woven bags — dense, durable and economical at volume, with one screen per colour. UV and transfer printing handle multi-colour and photographic artwork on smaller runs. Engraved metal plates, fitted to the leatherette bags and the Ecola laptop bag, give the most premium finish of all: no print on the fabric, just a plate with the logo cut into it.
Every method is explained on the corporate gifts page, and bags pair naturally with branded drinkware in a welcome kit or a boxed gift set.
Specifying a bag order
- Decide which job the bag is doing — a gift for a named person, or reach across a crowd. The budget per unit follows from that, not the other way round.
- Check the laptop size your audience carries. A 13-inch sleeve is useless to a team on 16-inch machines.
- Pick the branding method before the fabric. Embroidery needs a stitchable surface; a metal plate needs a bag designed to take one.
- Ask for a mock-up on the actual bag. Logos that look right on a flat file often sit badly across a curved panel or a seam.
- Order to the load-in date, not the event date, if the bags are going to a venue.
Promotional bag questions
What is the cheapest promotional bag for an exhibition?
Non-woven shopping bags carry the lowest cost per branded impression, followed by drawstring string bags and cotton totes. Jute costs more but looks considered rather than disposable, which matters if the bag represents a premium brand.
Can you embroider our logo on backpacks?
Yes. Embroidery suits polyester and canvas backpacks and reads as higher quality than print. Because stitching cannot hold very fine detail, thin lines and small type usually need simplifying — send vector artwork and we will confirm the minimum workable size.
Do you have sustainable or recycled bags?
Yes. The Ecola laptop bag is made from recycled ocean plastic fabric, jute bags are 100% natural fibre, and non-woven bags are biodegradable. For a genuine sustainability claim, check the material certification rather than the marketing word — the full list is on the eco-friendly page.
What is the minimum order for branded bags?
It follows the branding method. Embroidery carries a one-off digitising charge and then runs economically; screen printing carries a setup per colour and needs a longer run; UV and transfer printing work in smaller quantities.
How long do branded bags take?
Allow three to four weeks for stock bags with branding. Custom-manufactured bags, or a colour that has to be imported, take six to eight weeks or more. Exhibition deadlines should be set to the venue load-in date.
Can bags be packed individually?
Yes — several of the bags already come in a non-woven bag and a box. Individual polybags, printed sleeves and per-recipient labelling can all be added for a gifting rollout.
