What separates a notebook people use from one they do not
Three things, and none of them is the logo. The cover material decides whether it feels like a gift; the closure — elastic, magnetic or a flap — decides whether it survives a bag; and the paper decides whether anyone writes in it twice. Everything below is listed with those specifications so the choice is made on substance rather than a catalogue photograph.
These items come from our 2026–2027 corporate gifts catalogue. Notebooks pair with pens into boxed gift sets, which is how most UAE companies buy them.

How stationery is branded
Debossing is the standard on leatherette, suede and cork covers: a heated die presses the logo into the surface, optionally filled with gold, silver or a brand-coloured foil. It is the finish that reads as expensive, and it never peels.
Laser engraving is the standard on metal pens and on the metal plates fitted to organisers and portfolios. Pad printing handles plastic pen barrels economically at volume, in one to four spot colours. UV printing is for multi-colour logos on flat covers and for anything with a gradient.
Matching the notebook and the pen matters more than most buyers expect — a debossed cover next to a pad-printed plastic pen undoes the impression the notebook creates. Every method is explained on the corporate gifts page.
Specifying a stationery order
- Pick the cover material first. Leatherette and suede for gifts, soft-touch and cork for volume, flexible covers for pocket use.
- Check the page count against the use. 88–96 sheets suits an event; 192–256 pages suits a year of meetings.
- Decide dated or undated. Dated diaries and organisers are worthless after the year turns — order them by September.
- Match the pen to the notebook. Metal pen with a debossed cover; printed plastic pen with a volume notebook.
- Send vector artwork with a single-colour version, because debossing and engraving cannot use a full-colour logo.
Branded notebook and pen questions
Can our logo be debossed rather than printed on a notebook?
Yes, on leatherette, suede and PU covers. Debossing presses the logo into the cover with a heated die and can be left blind or filled with gold, silver or a coloured foil. It cannot reproduce a multi-colour logo, so send a single-colour version of your artwork alongside the full-colour one.
What is the difference between an engraved and a printed pen?
Laser engraving cuts into a metal barrel and lasts the life of the pen, appearing in the metal's own tone. Pad printing sits on the surface in your brand colour and is far cheaper at volume, but will wear with heavy use. Metal pens are usually engraved; plastic pens are usually printed.
Can you supply dated diaries for next year?
Yes — dated diaries, twelve-month organiser inserts and daily-dated refills are all available. Because dated stock is printed for a specific year and sells out, confirm quantities well before the year end; September is the practical cut-off for a comfortable schedule.
Do notebooks come individually boxed?
Several do as standard — the Exmatt and Novido are each supplied in a box, and the Infinote comes in a top-and-bottom box with its pen and cloth. Custom boxes and sleeves can be added to any item.
What is the minimum order for branded notebooks?
It depends on the branding method. Debossing needs a die made once and then runs economically; UV printing and engraving work in small quantities; pad printing on pens carries a setup per colour. Send your quantity and we will confirm what is workable.
Do you have eco-friendly notebooks?
Yes. The Natuco uses a cork and fabric cover, the Eco Aides memo pad uses eco-friendly leatherette, and the Infinote is a reusable notebook with tree-free erasable pages — the only one in the range that removes paper consumption rather than reducing it. More on the eco-friendly page.
