UAE National Day events in Dubai, handled end to end

Eid Al Etihad, the UAE National Day on 2 December, is the one date in the year when almost every company in the country celebrates at the same time. Offices, schools, malls, hotels and government entities all want flags up, a branded backdrop, an event their people remember and photos they can publish the same day. That demand lands on the same printers, stage builders and photographers in the same two weeks. Naqsh Media runs the whole thing with one in-house team: design, event production, printing, and photography and video. One brief, one timeline, one invoice.

Plan backwards from 2 December

The date never moves, so the schedule is simple to build and costly to ignore. This is the timeline we work to for corporate National Day events in Dubai:

  1. By mid-October: brief and budget. Guest numbers, venue (office, lobby, outdoor or hotel), activities, and what needs printing. Book photographers and stage equipment early; they are the first things to run out.
  2. By late October: concept and design approval. Theme, key visual, stage and backdrop design, and the full list of printed items with sizes.
  3. 3 November: Flag Day. Many companies raise flags for Flag Day, so flag orders placed before this date are the least stressful.
  4. Early to mid-November: final artwork and printing. Large format, flags, fabric and stickers go to press once every size and quantity is signed off.
  5. Last week of November: build and install. Stage, backdrop, branding and décor go in, with a technical rehearsal for sound, screens and lighting.
  6. On the day: run the event and cover it. Photography and video on site, with edited photos delivered for same-day social posts.

1. Concept and design

A good National Day design celebrates the UAE first and the company second. We build a key visual that works on everything from a 6-metre backdrop to an Instagram story, then roll it out across the stage, entrance, photo wall, printed items and social media.

If you use the official Eid Al Etihad identity, the national brand guidelines apply. They are published on eidaletihad.ae and set out the approved logo versions, typefaces and colour palettes. The main rules we follow:

  • Use only the approved logo versions, never stretched, rotated, recoloured or given shadows and effects.
  • Do not merge the logo with your company logo or place it inside unapproved shapes; use the approved co-branding lockups.
  • Do not use the logo as a background pattern or on busy, low-contrast backgrounds.
  • Keep the UAE flag colours exact and the flag itself clean, undamaged and displayed with respect.

We check every artwork against these rules before it goes to print, so nothing has to be reprinted the week of the event.

2. Event production and setup

From a 30-minute office celebration to a full evening for staff and families, the production covers:

  • Stage and backdrop: modular staging, printed or fabric backdrops, and LED screens for speeches, the national anthem and video content.
  • Sound and lighting: PA for speeches and music, with lighting in the national colours.
  • Entrance and photo wall: a branded arch or wall that becomes the most photographed spot of the day.
  • Heritage corners: majlis seating, Arabic coffee and dates, henna, Arabic calligraphy and other activities guests take part in.
  • Run of show: timings for the anthem, speeches, activities and group photos, with a coordinator on site.

Stage, sound, LED and lighting come from our own event equipment rental stock, so availability in the busiest week of the year is in our hands, not a third party's.

3. Printing

Printing is where National Day projects usually go wrong: late artwork, the wrong size, faded colours, or flags that arrive the morning of the event. Everything we print is produced in-house in Ras Al Khor, Dubai, with a proof before anything goes to press. Typical items:

  • Flags: UAE flags for poles and building fronts, hanging and hoisting flags, table flags, hand flags for guests, bunting, and custom printed flags.
  • Feather flags: for entrances and car parks; our standard feather flag (80 × 350 cm) is AED 693 including pole, base and delivery.
  • Large format: backdrops, photo walls, wall and window graphics, and banners through our large format printing.
  • Roll-up stands for receptions and lobbies, plus signage and directional boards.
  • Small items: stickers, badges, scarves, table cards and printed invitations.

4. Photography and video

A National Day event is also a content day. Your team will want photos on LinkedIn and Instagram before the event is over, and a short film for internal channels afterwards. Our photographers and videographers cover arrivals, speeches, the anthem, group photos, activities and details, and we deliver a first selection of edited photos on the day, with the full gallery and a highlight video to follow. Drone coverage is available for outdoor venues where permitted.

National Day corporate gifts

Many companies pair the event with a gift for staff or clients: branded notebooks and pens, water bottles, scarves, pins and gift sets in the national colours. Our corporate gifts team brands and packs them in-house, so they can be delivered with the event setup.

National Day event checklist

  • Guest numbers, venue and event duration confirmed

Why one team for the whole event

When the designer, printer, stage builder and photographer are four companies, every change costs a day and every mistake is someone else's. With Naqsh Media they are one team working from one approved design, which is how a National Day project stays on schedule in the busiest two weeks of the year. We have been producing events, print and video in Dubai since 2013.

Frequently asked questions

When should we start planning a National Day event?

Ideally by mid-October. Designs should be approved by late October and flags ordered before Flag Day on 3 November. Late requests are still possible, but choice of equipment and print options narrows as December approaches.

Can you use the official Eid Al Etihad logo in our designs?

Yes, following the national brand guidelines published on eidaletihad.ae: approved versions and co-branding lockups only, no distortion, recolouring or merging with other logos.

Do you only print, or handle the whole event?

Either. Some clients order flags and backdrops only; others hand us the full event from design to photography. The price depends on scope; event management projects start from AED 40,000, and print-only orders are quoted per item.

Can you install flags and branding at our office?

Yes. We deliver and install flags, wall graphics, backdrops and décor across Dubai and the UAE, usually in the last week of November.

How fast do we get the photos?

A first selection of edited photos on the same day for social media, and the full gallery and highlight video afterwards.

How do we get a quote?

Send the date, venue, guest numbers and what you need (design, printing, event setup, photography). Contact Naqsh Media or message us on WhatsApp at +971 50 884 8836.

Planning something similar?

Tell us what you need and we'll come back with a scoped quote — usually the same working day.
